Uniform Fleet Configuration and High Maintenance Standards

Our consistent fleet configuration allows us to homogenize our vessels, resulting in improved maintenance and heightened satisfaction among both customers and owners.

A uniform fleet makes maintenance easier and more efficient because the procedures, parts, and training can be standardized across all vessels providing owners with consistent service, reliability, and operational standards across the entire fleet

This provides a notable competitive advantage over companies operating diverse fleets.

Advantages of a homogenous fleet

Allows stocking of parts for quicker repairs, so we’re not waiting for special order parts to come in to a remote location.

Our in-house technicians are specifically trained for the uniform systems on our boats, eliminating any learning curve when repairs are required. This translates to quicker turnaround times, ensuring minimal disruption to time on the water.

Our customers and owners develop familiarity with our boats all across the world, enabling them to feel more confident in handling them, understanding their systems, and begin their vacations quicker upon boarding.

Our Yachts

Our yacht specifications are distinctive in the yachting industry. We partner exclusively with Dufour for our monohull fleet and Robertson and Caine for our catamaran fleet. These collaborations enable us to contribute valuable insights throughout the entire design process, ensuring custom adaptations that meet our precise requirements

All yachts include:

  • Yanmar engines on all models
  • Generator
  • Air conditioning
  • Watermaker
  • Water purifier
  • Davit system (electronic on catamarans) or outboard crane (37 to 41-ft monohulls)

Our Financial Strength

The Moorings and sister company Sunsail are part of Travelopia, which in turn is owned by KKR, a global investment firm with 578 billion dollars in assets under management. Travelopia is a pioneer in the specialist travel sector with a portfolio of more than 50 independently operated brands; making us by far the most financially strong charter companies in the world.

The Moorings and Sunsail are the only charter companies that continued to
honor our contracts with both customers and suppliers during the Covid-19 pandemic, when travel was shut down and boats could not be chartered. When you partner with The Moorings as an owner, you are working with a company that can ensure your deposit is safe, your boat will be delivered, and our commitments to you will be upheld.

All I can say is that we have been very impressed.  The staff handling bookings and sales have been excellent.  The marina staff and management throughout the world have been great. Basically everything I have been promised has been delivered. That is the reason we bought another boat. At the end of the day, we trust a company that has been around for so long.

“If you plan to charter multiple times a year and you enjoy it, you need to buy. I love the flexibility of use and that fact that we own a boat in the British Virgin Islands. As a Moorings Owner we don’t have to worry about insurance, dockage, repairs or maintenance. We use it, we enjoy it, and we love it. You get to explore more, and you meet a whole boating community. It also provides an opportunity to plug in with the locals, and you get to know people in a different light.”

“It is an affordable way to have a beautiful boat. The key word is affordable. Because the yacht is in the ownership program, it helps subsidize the cost of the yacht, And it is nice to be able to go to a beautiful place and enjoy your boat.”
